The history of the fall of

This study presents the history of the fall of angels in the Book of Enoch. It is written in a parable and is a continuation of the dream of Enoch the Apostle.

The fall of angels is an event that propelled humans into a serious state of demoralization. We need to know what happened then because those events explain much of the problems in the human race today.

Book of Enoch Chapter 86.

The Fall of the Angels and the Demoralization of Mankind.

1. And again I saw with mine eyes as I slept, and I saw the heaven above, and behold a star fell from heaven, and it arose and eat and pastured amongst those oxen.

2. And after that I saw the large and the black oxen, and behold they all changed their stalls and pastures and their cattle, and began to live with each other.

3. And again I saw in the , and looked towards the heaven, and behold I saw many stars descend and cast themselves down from heaven to that first star,

and they became bulls amongst those cattle and pastured with them ⌈amongst them⌉.

4. And I looked at them and saw, and behold they all let out their privy members, like horses,

and began to cover the cows of the oxen, and they all became pregnant and bare elephants, camels, and asses.

5. And all the oxen feared them and were affrighted at them, and began to bite with their teeth and to devour, and to gore with their horns.

6. And they began, moreover, to devour those oxen; and behold all the children of the began to tremble and quake before them and to flee from them.

fall of angels

The fall of satan (the first star) in the bible.

Based on revelations in the Bible, I believe that this Satan is the first star who fell from heaven. The Bible reveals that an called Lucifer rebelled and tried to overthrow God.

He wanted to rule in the place of the Almighty. Lucifer was the chief worship leader in heaven and was very beautiful and brilliant.

He was a priest and had a breastplate encrusted with three rows of precious jewels. Lucifer was also created with the ability to play all kinds of musical instruments. However, Lucifer became filled with pride and warred against God.

Jesus confirmed that Satan fell from Heaveen

Jesus the Son of God, who is also God, confirmed that Satan fell from heaven like lightning when he rebelled. He did not need to explain the context because the Jews of his day were well aware.

In the text, Jesus had sent out seventy of his church members to preach the gospel. He instructed them how to proceed. They returned with the joyful reports that even the devils obeyed them.

Jesus’ response was to chuckle and to respond that He saw Satan thrown out of heaven so fast that he looked like lightning – no need to fear him!

Luke 10:17
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Luke 10:20
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Apostle John revealed that Satan warred and was thrown out of Heaven.

The war in Heaven in which Satan was cast out was shown to Apostle John:

Revelation 12:7
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Revelation 12:8
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the , and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Names for Satan in the bible

The word Satan means accuser and adversary. The Bible refers to Satan as the dragon, that old serpent, the devil, and satan.

Therefore, when we see these terms, we need to ask if they refer to the devil.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years (Revelation 20:2).

The comparison of Satan with the King of Tyre reveals his high-level status in heaven and downfall.

The Bible weaves the fall of Satan into parables. In this parable written by Prophet Ezekiel, we see that the King of Tyrus is compared to Lucifer.

In this way, God reveals Satan’s former glory and the events that precipitated his downfall.

Eze 28:12
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Eze 28:13
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Eze 28:14
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Eze 28:16
By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:17
Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Eze 28:18
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Eze 28:19
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Satan the spirit of Tyrus.

fall of angels

The fallen angels in the Bible – those who had children

The Bible speaks about the fallen angels and their offspring in many ways. God became angry with their action and passed a severe sentence on them, as we see in great detail in the Book of Enoch.

Here are some of the references.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Genesis 6:2
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those ; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Job 4:18
Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly.
